📖 About The Attentive Archive
If you're tired of hearing how easy it is to "just do it" or feeling like the standard rules for productivity weren't written with you in mind, you're in the right place.
The Attentive Archive was created to be a different kind of resource —one that honors the unique wiring of neurodivergent brains instead of trying to "fix" them.
I'm Remy, the creator and primary field researcher for this Archive. As a late-diagnosed neurodivergent adult, I spent years feeling like I was living life with the difficulty turned up —and eventually "just trying harder" stopped working.
This project is the result of my resolve to stop fighting my brain and start learning its language, and my commitment to sharing everything I discover along the way.
🔮 The Approach
My philosophy is rooted in a simple but powerful idea: you are not your struggles.
Characterizing executive dysfunction symptoms by using the literary device of personification to form The League of Executive Dysfunctions changed my life. Turning abstract challenges like time blindness into tangible villains like The Time Thief separated my struggles from my identity, and allowed me to move from shame to strategy.
Our toolkit for this mission is The Grimoire, an ever-growing collection of evidence-informed and compassion-forward techniques for navigating a world that wasn't built for neurodivergent minds.
My work here focuses on sharing practical and accessible applications of my findings, as well as honest reflections on how I use them, plus the triumphs and tribulations that are just part of being a human.
🎧 A Quiet Corner of the Internet
The design of this website is a reflection of this philosophy, built with neurodiversity in mind. You won't find distracting ads, pop-ups, or other visual clutter here.
This space is intentionally minimalist, created to be a quiet place where you can focus, explore, and reflect without being sidetracked or overwhelmed.
Accessibility is also a priority. If you're a Medium subscriber and prefer that platform's interface, you can read and listen to audio versions of all our articles there.
🫶 We're a Community
The best way to stay connected is to subscribe for new articles and updates. You can also follow along via your channel of choice on our Contact & Socials page.
As a community-driven project, this is a reader-supported space that's committed to remaining ad-free. If you find value in this work, and have the means, you can help sustain our community by buying a book or becoming a member to provide monthly support.
